April 16, 2026: In Conversation with Richard Reeves, author, Of Boys and Men

Join the Berkley Institute for a conversation with Richard Reeves, a leading thinker on the crisis faced by boys and men today

RSVP required; register here

America’s boys and young men are facing a crisis on multiple dimensions as they fall behind previous generations of men on health, wellbeing, education, and civic engagement. They could not find a stronger advocate in Richard Reeves. Author of the best-selling book Of Boys and Men and founding president of the American Institute for Boys and Men, Reeves is a nationally-recognized thinker on the multiple dimensions of this crisis and a forceful agent for addressing its root causes.

In rejecting the "zero-sum" thinking that pits men against women regarding this crisis, Reeves has successfully encouraged policy experts and elected officials from across the political spectrum to respond to these challenges. They are offering good-faith solutions that are conservative, progressive, and everything in between. The many constructive approaches arising from across the political spectrum make The Changing Lives of Boys and Men an ideal focus for the Berkley Institute's inaugural civic challenge.

Join Berkley Institute Director Patrick Egan and NYU Professor of Psychology Tessa West in conversation with Richard Reeves on Thursday April 16. Reception to follow.
